How to Program a GE 6 Device Universal Remote Without Codes

There are several methods available for programming a GE 6 device remote. One of the most useful methods is auto-code search, in which you don’t need a code to program like jasco universal remote codes for all the remotes. The remote will auto-search the codes that work perfectly to operate your device.

Please follow the step-by-step instructions given below:

  1. Setup Mode:  Tap & hold the SETUP key on the remote until the red light blinks. Then release the SETUP button. The red light will remain lit.
  2. Press the device type button: Tap & release the device key on the remote for the type of device you wish to control. The red light blink for once and then remain on.
  3. Start code search: Aim the universal remote to the device. Press & release the POWER key on the Remote. The Remote will send 10 different universal codes to the device. The red light will blink only once per code and remain highlighted after sending all the 10 codes.

Did the device turn off?

  • If yes, navigate to step 4
  • If No, repeat step 3 to test the next 10 universal codes after manually turn back the device on.
  • Review individual codes: point the remote to the device. Click & release the Vol button. The remote will resend the first code of the 10 codes from step 2. The red light will blink once and then remain on.
  • Did the device switch off?

If yes, then you may find a code for the device. Tap & release the same device key you click in step 2. This will save the code in the universal Remote. Go back to step 5.

If No, then continue pressing & release the vol key until the device turns off to test the remaining 9 codes from step 3. Take a 3-second pause after each click on the vol button to all the device time to respond to the code. When the device turns off, you have found the right code for the device you are configuring remotely. Press & release the same device key pressed in step 3. Navigate to step 5.

  • Test the results: Aim the remote at the device. Test the keys on the remote to check if the device responds as you expect. If the keys do not operate the device, then return to step 1 above & use the next code from the list.
  • Repeat the same process for another device, like in ONN remote codes for the GE post we did.
